Project overview
Elusys Therapeutics operates where biotechnology meets national security, developing medical countermeasures against serious biological threats. They needed a visual identity and website that could communicate the gravity of that mission without falling into the safe, clinical conventions of the biotech sector. Our challenge was to create something confident, progressive and unmistakably Elusys, while retaining the credibility expected of an organisation working alongside US government agencies.
Project details
Working from the existing Elusys marque, we built a visual language around its shield and surrounding forms, turning protection into a distinctive graphic device. A tightly controlled red, white and blue palette brings a subtle sense of American identity, while clean typography, abstract biological imagery and particle-based graphics give the brand a more advanced, scientific edge. We carried the system into a new website, using motion, scale and considered interactions to create a digital experience that feels assured, modern and ready for the seriousness of the work behind it.
