Wreathing Havoc
30 January 2013

Last night The Potting Shed treated a handful of our Jersey clients to an evening of floristry in the form of a Christmas wreaths and table centrepieces workshop.
Guiding the group of eager ladies through the process was Claire Evans, owner of Eden by Claire, a newly opened and beautifully situated shop on the corner of Market Street.
The Shed were represented by myself; Sara, and a slightly nervous Ed, the females outnumbering him 7:1. Our guests were welcomed into the festive wonderland with mulled wine and mince pies. Once the introductions and chatter were out of the way, Ed made a rapid departure and left us to it…
Claire started off with a demonstration of the Christmas wreath and centrepieces, using fresh pine, eucalyptus, rose hips and other splendiferously beautiful bounty, she worked her magic with such skill that we were left both in awe and slightly nervous that we wouldn’t be able to recreate anything on a par with what we saw before us…but we were wrong!
Everyone demonstrated skill and creativity in an environment of encouragement and laughter, this was mainly at my slightly ‘gaudy’ Christmas creation, but if you can’t go kitsch at Christmas…
After a happy few hours, seven ‘creations’ came together and seven very happy ladies left Eden by Claire clutching their freshly made festive floral displays.
One piece of feedback this morning summed up the feeling perfectly…
“My mum is going to love her wreath, I feel like I’m about 12 and about to give her the best thing I made EVER!”
Thanks to everyone for coming along and embracing the Christmas spirit…I can’t wait for next year!

Testimonials
"Potting Shed took the time to understand the product and our purpose and created a clean, fun and fresh look which our clients comment on regularly. They then took the brand and product to the next level for us by creating our product video and website, and the storyboard and visual process that the team created really brought it to life."

"We worked alongside Potting Shed to create an identity that embodies who we are, and why we do what we do. These projects have contributed to a more connected team who believe in our organisation at a deep level. When your people believe in what you do and take ownership over their culture and workplace, growth is the natural outcome."
