BOOK
New Psychedelia
Leif Podhajský - Audible by Amazon
I’ll admit from the off that this book recommendation doesn’t consist of multiple pages and chapters of reading but in terms of design inspiration it ticks all the boxes for me. Leif Podhajský is one of my favourite designers and reading about this methodology and the messages he tries to convey in his work is really interesting. Best known for his striking, Grammy-nominated album covers for the likes of Foals, Bonobo, Lykke Li and Young Magic, Podhajský deftly crosses the boundary between sound and the visual.

PODCAST
The Joe Rogan Experience
Joe Rogan - Spotify
Joe Rogan is best known for being a stand-up comedian and a mixed martial arts commentator, but he has been creating podcasts for over 10 years with a wide range of guests, topics and genres that I just find really interesting. I find that after listening to some of his guests I just naturally want to dig deeper into the subject matter. He recently did one with Quentin Tarantino which is well worth checking out.
FILM
Parasite
Directed by Bong Joon Ho - Available on Netflix
This film has been described as a comedy without clowns and a tragedy without villains. It’s hard to summarise how uniquely gripping this film is, all I can do is give it my seal of approval and advise you go and watch it!
SERIES
Westworld
Created by Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy - Sky Atlantic & HBO
An intriguing Science Fiction series which sets up a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin.
DOCUMENTARY
Made of Stone
Shane Meadows - Film4 & Amazon Prime
Shane Meadows captures the resurrection of one of Manchester's finest bands, The Stone Roses. A great insight into the bands reformation and tour in 2012. Jam packed with interesting stories, performances and nostalgia along the way.
MUSIC
Butterfly 3000
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Spotify
These Aussie rockers never cease to amaze me with the wealth of music they produce on such a prolific basis (18 albums in 11 years!). They are well known for exploring a range of different genres, Butterfly 3000 is their attempt at 'psych-pop'.

Testimonials
"Potting Shed took the time to understand the product and our purpose and created a clean, fun and fresh look which our clients comment on regularly. They then took the brand and product to the next level for us by creating our product video and website, and the storyboard and visual process that the team created really brought it to life."

Jenny Winspear
COO Anova
"We worked alongside Potting Shed to create an identity that embodies who we are, and why we do what we do. These projects have contributed to a more connected team who believe in our organisation at a deep level. When your people believe in what you do and take ownership over their culture and workplace, growth is the natural outcome."

Jim Gilligan
