Another Bright Ideas

For the second year in a row, The Potting Shed were asked by Schroders to not only design all the collateral for the Schroders Bright Ideas entrepreneur competition and event, but to also provide design workshops for all the short-listed entrants.

The finals’ evening was a great success for all concerned and we’d like to congratulate all the finalists. It was a pleasure and a source of inspiration for us as a company to give our time to this event and we look forward to raising the bar next year.

Ranjan Vhadra’s tennis elbow cure Tenease was the winning invention of Schroders Bright Ideas 2009. After the first round of 15 minute presentations from all seven finalists Susan Watson, Matt Godfrey and Ranjan Vhadra won the audience vote and made it through to round two. Jim Delbridge asked each of the three finalists several business strategy questions before the mentors chipped in with their personal observations and reservations about the proposals being presented. Finalists argued their cases, gave financial projections and breakdowns and shred their vision of the future. After a tense ten minutes of mentors deliberation behind closed doors Sir Fabian Malbon announed Ranjan Vahdra and Tenease the winner.

Testimonials

"Potting Shed took the time to understand the product and our purpose and created a clean, fun and fresh look which our clients comment on regularly. They then took the brand and product to the next level for us by creating our product video and website, and the storyboard and visual process that the team created really brought it to life."

"We worked alongside Potting Shed to create an identity that embodies who we are, and why we do what we do. These projects have contributed to a more connected team who believe in our organisation at a deep level. When your people believe in what you do and take ownership over their culture and workplace, growth is the natural outcome."
